RECOVERY RITUALS #5

DAILY INTENTIONS

TODAY’S MANTRA: Hold your head up. Research has proven the connection between poor posture and tiredness, especially in people with depression. It is found that by simply keeping your back and shoulders upright and holding your head up, it helps you to become more alert and less anxious.

TODAY’S POSITIVE AFFIRMATION: I trust the wisdom of my body.

TODAY’S SELF-CARE MOMENT: Went to the osteopath for my sore hip.

TODAY’S NOTE TO SELF: Remember to be patient with your body. It needs time to catch up. It will all work out in the end and you’ll gain control again. But for now, just let this time pass.

EVENING REFLECTIONS:

HOW WOULD I SUM UP TODAY? Fine

WHAT WAS MY GENERAL MOOD? Up and down

THREE NICE THINGS I DID TODAY: Went to Burford garden centre with Mum and bought flowers, phoned my new therapist, tried a new delicious porridge (peanut and strawberry flavoured)!

MY GRATITUDE MOMENT: Grateful for the support from my therapist and Mum who both helped me tonight to honour my extreme hunger and keep eating. They reminded me there is never too much food in recovery.
